This policy explains what information jsrr.in (jsrr.in) collects when you use the site, how it is used and the choices you have.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for, and do not store, your marksheets, certificates, identity numbers, bank details or passwords. The site has no user accounts, and applications are made on providers’ portals, never through jsrr.in.
Information kept in your own browser
Your shortlist, the document ticks on entry pages and the last dates used by the deadline planner are stored in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us and nobody else can see them; clearing your browser data deletes them. The matcher and the calculators work in your browser, and what you enter in them is used only to show the result.
Information we receive
Like every website, our server records technical information when a page is requested: the IP address, the browser type, the page and the time. These logs keep the site running and secure and are not used to identify you. Page views are counted in aggregate to see which entries are read most.
If you post a question under an entry, we store the name and email address you give with it; the email address is never shown. If you write to us, we keep your message and address to reply and to follow up a correction.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a site leaves in your browser. jsrr.in itself works without any. The advertising and analytics services described below use cookies, and the comment form sets cookies to remember your name and email only if you ask it to.
Advertising
This website shows advertisements served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this website and to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and to other sites on the internet.
You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses information from websites that show its ads at policies.google.com.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, for how long and on what kind of device. It uses cookies and reports in aggregate; it does not tell us who you are. You can stop it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Children
Many of our readers are school students. Nobody has to give personal information to use the site. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before posting a question or writing to us.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the services that run parts of the site (hosting, advertising and analytics, as described above), or where the law requires it.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use the opt-out links above, and clear the site’s local storage at any time. To have a question you posted removed, or to ask what information we hold about you, write to contact@jsrr.in.
